Phase Two of the Master Plan

Phase II of the "master plan” for modernization was then implemented and included:


Construction of additional academic/instructional space, plus performance, practice and meeting space, and physical education facilities including:

The Coach Vince O’Connor Physical Education and Athletic Training Center with:
• A large fitness center for 75-100
   students
• A dedicated weight-training facility
• New athletic staff offices and training
   and instruction areas
• New equipment storage areas
• New locker rooms including  
   designated ‘team’ areas (Phase III)

A new Art Education Center that includes:
• The conversion and re-location of the current facilities to a new ‘Art Education Center’ (in the former convent at the top of the school’s west wing) with:
• New classrooms for both the fine arts and mechanical arts; a digital media room and MAC lab for web design, computer graphics, and CAD (computer aided design); a classical studio for painting and drawing; and offices for teachers.

 This Phase II of the "master plan” is now complete and the dedication of these new facilities took place in September 2011. Over $5 million was raised to help offset the cost of borrowing for this construction.
