Dear Alumni, Parents, Faculty, Staff and Friends,

Once again, St. Francis Prep will be marching up Fifth Avenue in New York City on Saturday, March 17th as part of the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. We are very honored to participate and show our Prep Pride and Terrier Spirit!

Please join us! (There is no cost to march.)

Click here to RSVP. We will present each participant with a commemorative SFP St. Patrick's Day hat (until our supply runs out), so please register early so we can plan accordingly.

Please note the following important information:

1) The SFP Formation will beon W. 46st Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) at 12:40 pm. Be sure to allow enough time to navigate the crowds to get the formation point. NYPD will restrict access to certain areas along the parade route.

2) This is one of NYC's largest and oldest parades. For organization and crowd control purposes, there will be limited "east/west" crossing points along the parade route. Therefore, you may have to walk a few blocks "out of your way" to reach the SFP Formation meeting place on 46th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues by 12:40 pm.

3) In the past we have had to "wait in formation" for 90 minutes or more. If you are attending with young children, please prepare yourself (and them) and keep in mind that many of the local businesses restrict access to restrooms. The upside is that it will be a great time to catch up with old friends and meet new ones!

4) The St. Patrick's Day Parade organizers have different "expectations" for those actually "marching" as opposed to those who participate in the parade as "spectators" along the parade route. Please be sure to review the guidelines instituted by the parade organizers by clicking the link above and then scrolling down the page.

Thanks once again! We look forward to seeing you on March 17th!

Best regards,

The SFP Alumni and Development Team
