John Brennan’s mission at St. Francis Prep is maximizing talent. He
wants to see his players improve and eventually play college tennis. But
make no mistake, the Terriers never-ending winning streak over 13
years, which reached an unfathomable 200 Tuesday afternoon, holds a
special place in his heart.
"I’m a competitor, I’m an athlete;
athletes want milestones, athletes want records,” he said after St.
Francis Prep’s 5-0 win over Archbishop Molloy in the CHSAA state
semifinals at Alley Pond Park. "Two hundred in a row, I find it hard to
believe anybody will beat that record. If they do, I probably won’t be
