Philadelphia and Washington DC Alumni Receptions
Tuesday, November 14, 2006
On Thursday evening, September 28th, the first-ever reunion of alumni in the Philadelphia area was held at "The Saturday Club" (a National Historic Landmark) in Wayne, PA (near Villanova). About 30 graduates and friends from the area (including two classmates from 1941) were joined by Brother Leonard Conway, the Prep's Principal; Brother Robert Kent, the Prep's Alumni Director; Alumni Board President, Wally Bishop '80; and Past President, Gerry Scales '76. Christine Higgins-Kozeracki '76, Wayne resident, VP at Goldman Sachs (ret.), and a member of "The Saturday Club," helped secure the venue for this event. Thanks Christine!
On Thursday, October 26th, the scene shifted to Washington DC for the first-ever reception for alumni in the Capitiol District. About 50 graduates and friends gathered at "The Army & Navy Club" in the heart of DC, and they were joined by Brother Leonard Conway, Brother Robert Kent, and Director of Development, Bob Angeletti. Many thanks to our gracious hosts, Bethesda residents Captain Ed Kelly '51 (VP in the American Maritime Office in Washington) and his lovely wife Barbara, for securing this wonderful venue.
