Passing of Coach Tim Leary, SFP Class of 1963

Dear Alumni, Family and Friends,

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Coach Tim Leary, SFP Class of 1963, baseball and basketball star, member our Hall of Fame (2004), and our Varsity Basketball Coach for 43 years. Coach Leary’s teams won over 600 games and 10 division titles, making him the winningest coach in our school’s history.

Coach Leary was also a teacher and administrator in the Board of Education for 30 years, a proud father and grandfather, and a devoted husband to his late wife Claudia. Here is a profile published in The Tablet before Coach Leary retired last year:

MY LOVE AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE LEARY FAMILY. COACH LEARY WAS THE MOST INFLUNTENTIAL PERSON IN MY LIFE. THANKS COACH FOR EVERYTHING. I WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE TOMORROW EVENING
