Prep's Principal, Patrick J. McLaughlin '73 will honored  at the Hance Family Foundation's Third Annual ‘Beautiful Me’ Fall Event at the Garden City Hotel on Friday October 21, 2016 from 7-11 pm.  The cost is $200 per person includes passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet and cocktails.

The Hance Family Foundation was created in honor of three beautiful sisters Emma, Alyson and Katie Hance. They died in 2009, but through the activities of this Foundation we celebrate their spirits, their love of life, and the kindness and joy that embodied our beloved girls. The "Beautiful Me' program endeavors to accomplish this through children's self esteem educational programming and charitable giving.  The following narrative text was taken from  the foundation's Facebook page:

The Foundation supports children’s endeavors, such as our flagship educational programming: The EAK Projects, which foster community spirit, social skills, and self-esteem in children ages 5-18. We also add to children’s lives through our giving program: Heart Hands Hope. We give substantial donations to schools and children’s organizations, and through holiday toy drives and delivery of school supplies. The Foundation is based in Floral Park but is growing quickly, touching the lives of children across Long Island, in NYC, NJ, Chicago, Philadelphia, and potentially nationwide.

The Hance Family Foundation hosts its only major fundraiser every spring, but collects donations all year long to fund our educational and giving initiatives. True to our mission statement, we bring Foundation efforts to Floral Park, where the girls lived and where their family and friends still keenly feel their loss. But we also branch out to neighboring communities, where we are trying to make an impact on the lives of children.

Healthy, happy, and safe children are the highest priority for the Hance Family Foundation.

We are a certified non-profit 501c3.
