Marc Hamlin '84 Promoted to Assistant Chief of Operations, Tampa Police Department

Congratulations to Marc Hamlin (SFP Class of 1984) of the Tampa (FL) Police Department on his promotion to Assistant Chief of Operations on May 15th 2016. Assistant Chief Hamlin will be responsible for the entire patrol function and the agency’s crime reduction plan. He is also well-versed on large event planning, including the 2012 Republican National Convention, 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Finals, and many VIP and Presidential candidate visits!

Marc holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Troy State University. Marc is also a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute, where he was a Dean Scholar Award winner and President of the 106th Administrative Officers Course.

Marc and his wife, Paige have been the gracious and generous hosts of St. Francis Prep's Florida Alumni Chapter (west coast) Reunions for many years.

In 2010, Marc was inducted into the St. Francis Prep Alumni Hall of Fame.
