St. Francis Prep alumni and friends enjoyed a fabulous day at the 16th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, June 15th at the Cherry Valley Club in Garden City. All 132 golfers and many other dinner guests celebrated as Prep saluted our former school Chaplain Msgr. James Cooney, who served the Prep for 18 years, and Judy and Bob Crimmins '56, who are loyal and generous benefactors to the Prep.
Bro. Leonard Conway, Prep's Principal, made the presentation to Judy and Bob, while our current Chaplain, Father Bill Sweeney delivered a heartfelt presenation to Msgr. Cooney during a special ceremony at dinner. We are grateful to all those who participated (especially our major sponsors listed below) for their ongoing commitment and support. We are also thankful for the volunteer efforts of the SFP Alumni Board of Directors.
