SFP School Nurse Recognized for Handling of Flu Outbreak

When all of the major media organizations in and around New York City, (and even those from across the globe), flocked to St. Francis Prep to cover news of the flu outbreak, Bro. Leonard Conway, O.S.F. received many calls and emails from parents, alumni and friends.  They all wanted to offer their prayers of support and express their concern for those in the Prep community who were afflicted by the virus.  As the story continued to unfold and everyone recovered, prayers of thanks were soon accompanied by accolades for the Prep's deft handling of the situation.   

Today, the New York Daily News has turned its attention to how skillfully St. Francis Prep's nurse, Mary Pappas, handled the situation from another standpoint as other neighboring NYC area schools grapple with possible flu related illnesses.  READ THE FULL STORY
