Gianluca Ariana (SFP Class of 2009) was selected to receive an award sponsored by the New York Metropolitan section of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC)  for his research entitled "Dynamic Aggregation Properties of Three New Photodynamic Therapeutics".

This is significant and compelling because each year, fewer than five students in the New York metropolitan area are recognized by the AACC for conducting chemistry-related research projects which represent the high quality of science education.

The award will be presented at an educational meeting on May 21st at Mount Sinai NYU Health Center in New York.  Gianluca will give a 10-minute presentation of his research project.

"The quality of our science program, the high aptitude of our students and the dedication of our faculty continues to shine", noted Bro. Leonard Conway, Principal of St. Francis Prep.

Congratulations to Gianluca!
