Many thanks to everyone who attended and supported St. Francis Prep's 150th Anniversary Homecoming Weekend events.

Homecoming Weekend began on Thursday, October 16th with the Annual Three-on-Three Hoops Tournament conducted at the Prep in memory of Jimmy Prendergast '79 and Chris McMahon '76.  Click here to see photos.

On Friday, October 17th, alumni, faculty and friends participated in the Annual Homecoming Golf Outing at the Clearview Golf Course to honor the memories of John McGinley and Richard Coppolino,
two esteemed members of the Prep staff who passed away in recent months. (The event will benefit scholarship funds established in the names of these two fine men.)  After their round, golfers and other guests gathered near the clubhouse for a great BBQ where raffle prizes and awards were

Later that same evening alumni gathered in Bayside for the Annual Night at Sullivan'sClick here to see photos.  It was a spirited group which represented a wide range of graduating years.  And as alumni and friends gathered at Sullivan's, The Varsity Terrier Football Team battled Fordham Prep at the Mitchell Field Athletic Complex in Uniondale and came away with a 28-21 victory.

On Saturday, October 18th, over 150 alumni and friends gathered at Belmont Race Track for the annual get together in the Turf and Field Room.  With a full buffet, paddock tours, and the private betting windows, this event is always great fun for all those in attendance. This year, the second race on the afternoon card was run in honor of "The St. Francis Prep Alumni Association." Click here for photos.

On Sunday, October 19th, alumni, family and friends gathered at the Prep for the Annual 5K Homecoming Fun Run held in memory of Capt. Vinny Giammona '79.  Early continental breakfast and a post-race brunch were the orders of the day, while the awards for top overall finishers were presented to honor the memories of other beloved members of the SFP alumni community including: Sean McKeon '82, Shelia Barrett-Knudsen '78, Kevin Wuerz '82, James Prevete '00, Matt Garvey '81, Michael Fouchet '80 and Martin Doherty '76.  Click here to see photos.

Lastly, we'd be remiss if we didn't extend our profound gratitude to all of the SFP alumni board members and other volunteers who gave their time to help organize and staff these events.

On for Ol' St. Francis!
