Shinann Featherston '08 was named Girls Tennis Player of the Year by the National High School Coaches Association.  "This is a great honor for her, the Prep and coach John Brennan", said Sal Fischetti, Director of Athletics at the Prep.

Shinann is the city's top player and is ranked No. 18 in the most recent U.S. Juniors poll.  She is headed to the University of North Carolina on a tennis scholarship later this summer.  "She's by far the best, the best player I've ever coached at Prep." Terriers Girls Tennis coach John Brennan said.

Under Brenan's leadership, these terrific Terriers have won 10 consecutive CHSAA state titles. Not only that, but the indomitable Terriers also recently won their 10th Mayor’s Cup trophy in a row!

The team was invited to appear on News Channel 4 on Sunday, June 15th in celebration of their recent victories in the Mayor's Cup and the New York Junior Tennis League Programs.

“We applaud their individual accomplishments as well as their teamwork”, said Bro. Leonard Conway, Principal of St. Francis Prep.
