April 17, 2008--The New York City Science and Engineering Fair (NYCSEF), sponsored by the New York City Department of Education and the City University of New York, is the city's largest high school research competition.
Approximately 1,000 students from around the city submitted applications to the 2008 NYCSEF for a chance to compete for a variety of cash and prizes including an all expense paid trip to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). 18 students from across New York City were selected as representatives at ISEF in Atlanta, GA.
"We are proud to announce that fact that two Prep students, Eleanor Reilly '08 and Julian Rivera '08, are counted among the City's 18 top achievers!", said Brother Leonard Conway, O.S.F., Principal of St. Francis Prep.

"We are proud of what our students accomplish and how they uphold the tradition of excellence that began 150 years ago," noted Bob Angeletti, the Prep's Director of Development.
