Daniela Marquez '13 named CUNYAC Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week

Congratulations to Baruch Freshman, Daniela Marquez (SFP Class of 2013)

Daniela has been named the CUNYAC Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of 11/3-11/10. 

The first year swimmer had an outstanding start to her collegiate swimming career with two first place and one second place finishes in the Bearcats meet against William Paterson. 

The freshman competed in the 200 yard medley relay, 50 yard freestyle, and 100 yard freestyle in times of 2:03.15, 27.20, and 58.87.  Against conference opponent CSI, the Kew Gardens native finished ahead of the pack in all three events she swam in.  Versus the Dolphins, Marquez swam the 200 yard medley relay, 50 yard freestyle, and the 100 yard freestyle in the times of 1:56.66, 27.11, and 58.32.  In their following meet against Manhattan College, a Division I school, the new comer had an outstanding meet with a first place finish in the 200 meter medley relay with a time of 2:12.03, a second place finish in the 50 meter freestyle and a second place finish in the 100 meter freestyle in 1:04.26, a new Baruch freshman record time.
