Prep's Regional Alumni Chapters enable us to reach out to graduates outside the New York area and share the news about the great things going on at the school. Now in its 8th year, approximately 30 alumni gathered for a reception at Bobby Van's Steakhouse located in the heart of our nation's capitol. Alumni participants ranged from a recent graduate who is studying at an area college, to a couple of alumni from our former Brooklyn campuses on North 6th Street and Baltic Street.
A wide assortment of hors d'oeuvres and an open bar was available. Brother Leonard provided a wonderful update on all of the recent developments at the Prep, most notably, the new administrative model that went into effect this September which, for the first time in the Prep's 155 year history, includes the position of president. Brother Leonard is now serving in his first year in that role, while Patrick McLaughlin '73, who has served for 20 years as assistant principal, has been appointed to Principal. Brother Leonard also spoke about the many ways Prep's students continue to achieve and how the ongoing Capital Improvement Program will create new space for them to continue to grow and achieve great things.
