Dear Prep Alumni,

We invite you to support our upcoming Walk-a-thon next Friday, September 27th beginning at 9:30 am outside the Prep's cafeteria. (We would advise a 9:00 am arrival for all walkers. The walk is through Cunningham Park and takes about an hour.) Consider the following options:

1. Make a designated donation (sponsorship) to support a particular student's fundraising efforts by going to http://steps4prep.org/. (Each student is committed to raising $100 or more.)

OR

2. Make a general donation that we will apply IN YOUR NAME (as a sponsor) toward the fundraising efforts of a student (or students) with financial need. You can do this by going to http://alumni.sfponline.org/donationsand then scrolling to "The 2013 Walk-a-thon Alumni Fund." ANY amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.

OR

3. Consider joining us after the walk-a-thon for a special senior class bar-b-cue where members of our senior class will "network" with you regarding alumni events, college experience, the job-market, etc. (We would ask that you arrive in the school auditorium at 11:00 am for brief introductions and then proceed outside with everyone for the bar-b-cue which we expect will go until about 1:00 pm.) If you plan to be with us for this senior bar-b-cue then please let us know by calling 718.423.8810 ext. 268.

In addition, don't forget that a donation of $100 or more entitles YOU to participate in the walk-a-thon with over 3,000 students, faculty and staff members, parents, alumni and friends that day. (Just report to the registration table located outside the back of the cafeteria at 9:00 am.)

Once again, the goal for the walk-a-thon is to raise at least $250,000 or more (we raised over $525,000 in the first two events) which will be used for the Prep's ongoing capital improvement and modernization efforts, with the focus now on the construction of a new science and music complex that we hope to "break ground" for next June.

So we hope you will help us reach and surpass our walk-a-thon goal again this year. If you have any questions, thenjust reply to this e-mail or call the Prep's Office of Development at 718.423.8810 ext. 268.

Thank you and God bless you!

Sincerely,

The SFP Alumni and Development Team
