This past spring, Bro. William Boslet, O.S.F., Superior General of the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Francis Prep, announced that Brother Leonard Conway, O.S.F., would become the first-ever President of St. Francis Prep beginning in September 2013, serving a four-year term.
This current 2012-13 school year marks Brother Leonard's 30th year as Principal. Overall, he is now serving in his 41st year at Prep. He is also an Honorary Alumnus.
In September 2013 Brother Leonard will be succeeded by St. Francis Prep's current Assistant Principal, Patrick McLaughlin '73. Pat has served as an Assistant Principal for more than 20 years. In that capacity he has been closely involved with many of Prep's important administrative decisions. Pat is also a member of the Prep's Hall of Fame.
In making his announcement, Brother William Boslet stated, "With this new Administrative model the Board of Trustees anticipates that the St. Francis Prep Community--Administrators, Faculty and Staff-- will continue to meet the challenges of the 21st Century with the confidence and enthusiasm they have always demonstrated."
Please join us in congratulating Brother Leonard and Pat McLaughlin and wishing them well as they prepare to assume their new roles next September.
