Dear Classmates and Friends:
We hope that this 50th
Anniversary celebration of our graduation is a memorable one indeed.
These are the activities we
have planned so far:
--Saturday evening, April 9th: The Alumni Spring Reunion and Hall of Fame induction at the
Prep which is highlighted by the presentation of Golden Terrier Society Medals to all members of our Class of 1961.
The evening begins with Mass in the auditorium at 6:00 PM and continues with dinner
and our Class Reunion at 7:30 PM.
We are also thinking about
the possibility of a Circle Line boat ride on Friday, April 8th, but
since we are still working on this, we will provide more details in the coming
days. This will give us a bit more
time to ‘catch up’ with one another. Maybe we can also go out to dinner in
Manhattan that night.
Here’s another thought:
Please help the Prep by giving whatever you can to foster the school’s mission
to provide an outstanding, Catholic education in the Franciscan tradition for
students from all walks of life.
With this in mind, we are
hoping that the members of the Class of 1961 will make a special 50th
Anniversary gift to establish the 61
Fund at St. Francis Prep. This fund will be used to help needy students in
So would you consider making
a gift of $5, $10, or even $20 for each of the 50 years since your graduation?
This would make a wonderful tribute and would also set a positive example for
other 50th Anniversary classes in the future. Enclosed is a return envelope. Whatever
you can give will be appreciated and will be included as part of our 50th
Anniversary class gift. Thank you very much for your consideration.
We look forward to hearing
from you and hope to see you next month.

and Bob Torre
